Ultrasound therapy

For ultrasound therapy is used apparatus which generates low-frequent ultrasound waves.
Principle of operation is transformation electric current energy to low-frequent electromagnetic modes. The last ones transforms to ultrasound oscillations by means of piezoelements.
Impact of ultrasound on human organism:
- micro massage of cells elements;
- heat effect;
- chemical effect.
Ultrasound increases: permeability of cells’ membrane, diffusion, ointment penetration in tissues and body metabolism.
Indications for ultrasound treatment:
- inflammation of joints;
- posttraumatic infiltrates at the joints;
- posttraumatic failure of ligaments;
- bruise of soft tissues;
- aggravation of lumbar osteochondrosis;
- posttraumatic and inflammatory tenobursitis;
- contracture after trauma and paresis;
- cardio-vascular diseases (stenocardia, hypertension, early period after stroke, psychoemotional reactions);
- acute inflammatory gastroenterological diseases (cholecystitis, pancreatitis);
- intestinal and hemorrhoidal bleeding;
- joints inflammation in acute infectious diseases;
- benign and malignant tumors
Ultrasound therapy prescribes by doctor. Frequency and exposition of procedures depends on disease.
